Thunder Bay Community Health Service, Inc. (TBCHS) is excited to announce they will work alongside the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and ten other health centers across the state to operate a testing site for COVID-19 at their Atlanta Health Center located at 11899 M-32.

The TBCHS testing site will be open to patients from 9:00-4:00 beginning Monday, April 20. Testing for COVID-19 requires a referral from a healthcare provider and is by appointment only. Patients can call the TBCHS COVID hotline at (989)733-6827 to speak with medical staff. Patients will be triaged and scheduled for a medical appointment with a provider to be screened for testing following the MDHHS guidelines.

Thunder Bay supports their local communities and wants to ensure that the individuals in northern Michigan are provided with access to testing and services to ensure their health and safety. All individuals exhibiting symptoms are encouraged to call for screening. Thunder Bay offers assistance with insurance enrollment for those who are uninsured.

During this time Thunder Bay will continue to provide telehealth services for medical, behavioral health and substance use disorder services, emergency dental care, and curbside pharmacy pick-up.
