SUMMARY: Provides coordination of referrals for primary care sites, ensuring that all referrals remain caught up to date.

Referral Coordination
- Monitors incoming referral orders via desktop from providers and processes them following TBCHS policy and procedure.
- Communicates patient information regarding referral order including coordination to specialist for appointment date and time.
- Coordination of appointments and any additional requirements for specialized testing
- Processes insurance authorizations
- Notifies patient of appointment specifics following TBCHS protocol.
- Aids as assigned in ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referral status to ensure requests are processed in a timely manner.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Degree with two years of Electronic Health Record experience preferred but not required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current BLS CPR certification.
