Thunder Bay Community Health Service, Inc. is excited to add a physician to its growing primary care practice in Onaway Michigan. Full-time Physicians for Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Medicine/Peds that enjoy a culture of service, community commitment and clinical excellence are encouraged to consider this opportunity. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, loan forgiveness opportunities also exist.
The staff physician reports to the CMO and is the lead provider in a team-based clinic model. Physician will assist in the clinical supervision of advanced practice providers working in their respective clinic. Compensation plan incorporates a base rate along with access target and quality incentives. Physician will also be a member of the Thunder Bay Provider Leadership Council and have the opportunity to participate in organizational strategy, goals, and quality objective setting. TBCHS is innovative and progressive in utilization of medical technology and is actively considering optimal EMR platforms and AI applications.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides clinical supervision to advanced practice providers at clinic along with Medical Director. Collaborates with Site Manager to supervise employees of the Medical Support Staff. TBCHS is a learning organization and therefore hosts medical students and advanced practice students. Clinical appointment to training programs are available.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Degree as Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current valid licensure by the State of Michigan Medical Practice Board, currently registered by State and Federal Boards of Pharmacy, and Board Certified or Eligible in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Medicine/Pediatrics with a completed residency. BLS Required at hire.
